A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a given mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise put, if you remove an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be vital in case you are running a company, for example. Since you may begin receiving spam, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters so as to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all mailbox without effort if you have a web hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet remarkably simple to use, and it will permit you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with just a few clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you’ve set up will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will enable this option, clicking it once again will disable it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another one with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated effortlessly if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domain names hosted in your account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will notice a small-size sign handily situated right next to each of them. With just a mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option using the contextual menu that will surface. If any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will let you know, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
